Description

This is a  Victorian box  c1855 in rosewood veneer refurbished as a jewellery box

Externally,it is in good condition for its age  ,with minor  restoration to the veneer at the back but it does appear to have had the escutcheon replaced ,but both of the  mother of pearl inlays are intact

Internally,it has been refurbished in dark green cotton velvet complete with drop in tray for small items,it has the original hinges and  lock with key

Generally a nice tidy box
